Background:
Started surfing and windsurfing at age 9.
Started kiting in the summer of 2002, I moved to Maui in 2003 when I competed in my first kiting event, the Red Bull King of the air,
got noticed by Naish after beating veteran Luciano Gonzales in my heat and from there started to work with them riding their gear,
after that I got some more international experience with the Texas Velocity games and some speed taste thanks to the maui speed events in year 2006.
I’ve been spending my time kiting every day at kitebeach, Maui, with other pro riders like Andre Philips, Lou Wainman and the kitebeach crew, learning some new tricks and riding bigger waves.
Got contact from Carafino Int. in year 2006/07 for sponsorship and help them developing their line of boards, and be the leading Image for their company.
I’ve been also riding an Hydrofoil prototype board, wich thanks to me and our company, foilboarding with a kite is now getting very popular, expecially
in europe where my image, thanks also to the foil, grew very big in the past two years.
I starter teaching for aqua sport in the year 2004 when I got my IKO certification, and been teaching on and off since then, being very passionate about it, I love teaching my sport and watch my student improve thanks to me, it’s a great personal reward!
Today I split my time between teaching and riding but always doing what I love the most, kitesurfing!
